It's sad. It's sad because the boy had to die way before his prime in an embarrassing way and it's sad because this reflects poorly on the parents ability to... be parents.

Wow that is too bad... it reflects poorly on the parents and the schooling system tbh. Though more so on the parents. They should have been teaching what is real and what is not. Poor kid didn't seem to understand that Naruto is fake...
